Terms of Use
Last updated: October 10, 2026
By downloading or using Kantan JLPT ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you get the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
Using the app
We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app for your own study. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the app or its content, including its meanings, example sentences and practice questions.
Premium subscriptions and purchases
- Premium is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.
About the content
Kantan JLPT is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Japan Foundation or Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES). There are no official JLPT vocabulary or kanji lists; level tags are based on community research and may differ from the real exam. Score estimates are estimates only. We do not guarantee that using the app will lead to passing the JLPT.
We work hard to keep content accurate. If you find a mistake, please use "Report a mistake" in the app or email us.
Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
